I hate whoever got me into my little pony, I'm sad when I'm away from it, I'm on my mums phone typing this so I hate that person.

“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Y'know, I hadn't even considered that. I was just suggesting replacing one addiction with another, but on second thought it has pretty much the same abuse potential. Bleh. I'm pretty dumb, aren't I?

 I can't sleep, it's too cold. My feet and hands are so cold they hurt :(. I hate that damn furnace.

Reading that thread over in Life Advice about someone putting their cat down, and thinking about my dog in the same terms (he has at least 10 years left, hopefully, but still).  Also, mild relationship angst.

Put your fingers in your armpits, try fitting your feet behind your knees and cuddle under a heavy blanket maybe?  And a cup of cocoa or something if you can manage it.  Cold sucks :/

You'd be surprised at how many B12ers actively don't play DF. Some of us have never even touched it. (I am not one of those people. I am a modder. :P)

I personally feel DF just stopped being interesting. Though I stick around since this place is otherwise pretty okay.
