Or, door number two: don't be an asshole.  Wow.  What an idea.
Ignoring him isn't working. Winning isn't working. I'm just suggesting my solution, have your morals if you wish.  :P

Feel free to ignore it.

Which makes it all the more infuriating that my refusal to engage in a protracted conversation (seriously, dude...i'm working here! / playing Aurora or DF here!) doesn't seem to deter him.
My solution: Make the experience as miserable as possible for him.

Completely humiliate him, and make him look like a complete and utter moron infront of everyone. Sure, he won't like you, but it doesn't look like friendship was your goal in the first place.

Well, on a weekend, "everyone" is me and him for the most part. And yeah, being a *blatantly* arrogant prick isn't really my modus operandi. (Now quietly arrogant prick....that's another matter.)

Sometimes you have to abandon subtlety and tell people to their face -- and not condescendingly or with an inflammatory tone -- what the problem is. That doesn't necessarily mean they won't get all offended and pitiful, but at least you can say YOU were rational about it.

Don't hide what's on your mind, especially if it's something grating like this. Your inevitable explosion is far worse than just taking them off to the side and talking about it.

For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

I never understood the importance of drawing nudes.  I understand it's important to learn anatomy, as in how muscle, bone, fat, etc structures itself on various body types.  I just don't understand how the same couldn't be accomplished by drawing someone in a bikini or something.  Being able to draw accurate genitals isn't professionally important to 99.9999% of artists.  I find drapery much more difficult than anatomy, anyway.

I think it might be to teach a more artistic view of the human body. You know, to get people over the fact that sometimes people are naked.
But I'm not really sure.

He doesn't want a conversation with someone, he wants to lecture at someone about an unwanted subject proving his delusions of grandeur.... [facepalm] He never listens to what anyone says, because he's too busy thinking of what he'll say, which by his definition is always more important (though he will never say that).
Dad, come home, that isn't your family.

Or maybe it could be. Hrm... It would explain why he's tired all the time.

The two hardest things to draw that I have come across are hands and feet.

Why are feet so fucking hard to draw!?

For contemporary, western, commercial artists, that's true.  There are a lot of artists that aren't in that group.

I can think of:  medical illustration, traditional "fine art" nudity, and pornography.  For everyone else (which, unless I'm really missing something, is almost everyone), it would actually be more useful to be familiar with the shape and positioning of a person's junk when supported by undergarments.

I don't have anything morally against it.  It's just a pet peeve of mine that the issue is unnecessarily forced on so many students, and most of my classmates felt the same way.

That was actually the main reason I thought it was important.  Kind of like how you don't usually see a person's bones and muscles, but it helps a lot to understand them, even on a heavily clothed figure.  Once in a while being fully, and modestly dressed still doesn't leave much to the imagination.

That's what the sweater dress is for. ^_^

For me a woman can look just as alluring to me modestly dressed than if she was skimpily dressed. It's all about the pride in looking good, you know?

If I ever become an eccentric billionaire, I will totally wear rune-patterned robes with an ominously shadowy hood.
