Surprisingly enough, Asperger's Syndrome will not cause you to shit on the floor.
I can attest to this.
I don't think the work is causing the problem.  Often times, aptitude for that kind of work coincides with things like Asperger syndrome, or OCPD.  Employers that require that sort of work consider it an advantage to have such employees because they're so productive.

...But you... You..

I poop on the floor and pee on walls.

Not everyone, but it's a type of problem that has been surprisingly frequent, including new cases happening during hiring freeze... meaning someone who didn't wipe their snot on the walls or pee on the floors previously suddenly decided that was the thing to do.

Oh people are definitely disgruntled, but I get the feeling that's only a part of it.

I think it comes from the sense of isolation.  I admit that this is purely my informal observation, but I see consistent trends relative to the amount of time people have spent in this job (or similar office environments) that correlate pretty well, in a toned down fashion, with the effects of solitary confinement.  They get irrationally (passive) aggressive and paranoid.  They stir up trouble because in this highly controlled and sterile environment, they seem to lack anything better to do.  Their ability to connect with other people seems to atrophy (this is one I've felt a lot personally).  The middle aged veterans of the office are almost all divorced and seem to have absolutely no life outside the office.  They'll work as much overtime as they're allowed and will just hang around doing random stuff when they're not.  One guy goes around with a pair of scissors and gently preens the plastic plant decorations as if they're his personal garden.  Others just spy on each other (even rummaging in other people's desks when they can get away with it) and come up with excuses to spread petty gossip, ignite office politics, and file complaints against each other.  The office veteran brigade on the shift immediately after mine targeted me once for reading books at my desk on my lunch break...

All the satire out there about corporate office environments are not very exaggerated.  Office Space.  The Office.  Dilbert.  Those eccentric and warped personas are mostly accurate depictions of the type of people you'll encounter in a place like this.  The only major difference would be the employees have an unrealistic amount of freedom to walk around talking to each other, thus creating content for black comedy writers to work with.  In reality, at least here, we've been through periods where we're officially unallowed to talk to the people sitting next to us.  All of our work-related activity is monitored, and we're questioned on any inactive time spans.  Younger workers like me turn to the internet to maintain their sanity.   The older generations just go a little batty, I think.

So, moved to the east coast from Arizona about a year ago. (It was rather depressing, as it was my first time in over 5 years that I'd be going to a physical actual school...I knew the entire first semester that we'd likely be moving at the end of the semester, lost more than a few nights of sleep over it.)

Anyways, my grandmother agreed to watch my pet cat (and my mom's other cat) while we were renting a house, since we can't have pets while renting. My mom tells me today that she took him to the pound because he was peeing on things. Also, she told them that he was peeing on things, so now he's an old cat marked with behavioral problems in the pound. Do the math. (This cat was pretty much my only friend that wasn't in the internet while I was doing homeschooling/virtual school.) This has gotten me really down today, as well as angry at my grandmother.

Also, my mom's heart has apparently been skipping beats, and she's supposed to go to the doctor to get it checked out. She also just passed out in the hallway (I don't think she's done that before, although I passed out twice this summer likely due to low blood sugar or dehydration.) This has gotten me more than a bit concerned.  ???

I'm not sure, but I think that is normal behavior for cats when they move into a new home.  Some familiar objects or furiture might make your cat more comfortable, if it's not too late.  Hopefully that could work out.  It would be one less thing for you to worry about.
She already took the cat to the pound, unfortunately. :(

Hm, my Internet has become irritatingly unstable. This is a problem since a friend is having a bit of an emotional breakdown right now and it won't stay up long enough to finish signing into MSN, much less have a conversation. Fortunately it'll stay up long enough to click "Post" here.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Did terribly on my problem set, did even worse on the midterm.  Disaaaaaster.

Ayup this, despite spending the day studying it. Seems the ten-page handout the professor prepared for study had nine pages of obtuse stuff not on the midterm and didn't include a page of stuff that was necessary for it.

And then as I get out of the testing hall at around 8:00 I call home to check up on things and see if everything is alright, mayhaps get a ride.

My dad thought I had ran away from home.

Why... why would that be your first assumption?

God damn, I loved college.  All professors come in exactly two varieties - the ones who've given up on actually teaching anything, and just tell you exactly what they want on their exams, and the ones who have no idea how to teach and tell you everything except what they want to hear, in reviews and lessons.

That's impossible!  Aqizzar clearly stated that can't be true.
