I've had "Johnny I Hardly Knew Ye" going over and over and over again in my head for several days now. Only respite was a some hours on Sunday when it was "When Johnny Come Marching Home" instead.
It's starting to be... Insanifying.

@Vector - We wouldn't let you leave if you tried ;)

Because love is a vow, not a feeling, and you don't choose who you make pacts with, or to whom you are obligated, or what you owe to a particular situation.  It has nothing to do with what one wants, and everything to do with who and how one is.

Very well said.

Wow... almost forgot what I came here to do.

This link came up in a web programming class.  It's a website from 1996, still up and running untouched 15 years later.  This brought out a bizarre mix of subtle emotions.  Lots of nostalgia; not for the dumb movie, but for those very special early days of the internet.  I'm putting this in the sad thread, because I couldn't help but think about how much easy money somebody must have made putting about the same amount of effort into this as the most minimally computer literate users once put into their geocities pages in about that same time period.  If only opportunities like that were still around.

I feel like an ass for thinking I'm in too good a mood to respond to Vector.  That's terrible of me.

Man I would be pretty much sad forever if you left the forum, and possibly ragey if there were reasonably somebody to blame (which in this case, yeah). The place is better for your presence. And possibly, people would start yelling at me for posting in this thread about your absence on a regular basis. >_______>

Anyway, very glad you're staying here doodabuddy.

Also, AoD, check to ensure you have a pulse.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Well, it's time to buy a new one, then... unless that was a top of the line, expensive gaming mouse, in which case... f**k.

Strangely enough, it lasted WAY longer than the top of the line, expensive gaming mouse that I had.

I let you shut me out of my circle of high school friends--our D&D group, remember?  That was the entire collection of friends I had managed to make in that time.  I even tried to be a good post-breakup girlfriend once I'd stopped being totally insane, "continuing to be friends" and all that, but in the end I was actually incapable of doing it.  I was too frightened of being judged by you.  I apologized for everything I did, and I'll gladly do it again.  I'm sorry.  Really, truly sorry.  Not that I started what I did, but that I didn't do what I should have in so many cases.
Yeesh... This sounds eerily familiar to me.

Let me know how it all works out, k?

Nah, it's okay, dudes, don't worry.  I'll be okay soon enough.

And why yes, it is the prince title which I use.  I didn't want to be a lady when I was a kid, I wanted to be a knight.  Surprisingly enough, the titles of "prince" and "princess" are not at all equivalent.

I think Lord and Lady are titles more befitting a knight. And as a bonus the female form has been accepted by roleplayers as meaning basically the same thing for some time.

You can totally be a Lord though.
