I think it's probably impossible to feel well-educated. God, there is so much interesting and useful stuff to learn.

Dunno what other people have done, really.  It's just that I look at, say, the 65-year-olds in the fields I'm studying in and go "fuck, how do I get from here to there?"

I know there's such things as entry positions, and I know this is partially my fault because I pick these people on purpose to study from, but damn it's hard not to stress some days.

I'm not going to lie, this is a very common problem.  There's more phys-ed majors than physical-sciences majors right now, and like myself, tons of people who went to college to study what they wanted to study (politics 4eva) coming out with essentially no job skills.  That's kinda why I'm saying something has to change for you (and me, and everyone), or else you're going to see a country with millions of unemployed college graduates.  Or, there will just be tons of unemployed college grads, and your life won't be a disappointment or unfulfilled, because you'll be in the same boat as everyone else anyway.

That's what I keep telling myself.

That makes you smarter than all of us.  I'm just glad I got out without a pile of debt, I don't know how some people do it.

I think you need to remember that the entirety of the US is filled with unused bachelor's degrees. It is highly common for 26-year-olds with college degrees to be full-time store cashiers who still live in their parents' homes. There are various socio-economic explanations to why this is a growing trend, but whatever the case, know that you're not the only one who lives in constant fear of what their future holds in terms of a livable life.

People don't shy away from doing 'useless' things with their life. They do things, and sometimes they fit into the future and sometimes they don't. Just do enough useful things (like getting that degree and associating yourself with professors you like) and then you can do the useless things side-by-side. The associating thing I personally find is very important. That way, you can straight-up ask these people, "How do I get from where I am to where you are?"
