I will never make it to Calc 2. In our "Basic Technical Math" class, we hit on lalgebra very briefly. "Advanced Technical Math" is applied trig, "advanced" geometry and basic calculus.

Interesting! Around here, linear algebra is usually considered slightly harder a course, IIRC. Could be wrong, though.

“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Here, Linear Algebra is considered a pretty tough course, mostly to do with the fact that it's pure math with no holds barred. Making and analyzing proofs instead of just crunching numbers. Especially considering it was oral examinations, so you really have to be on top of the stuff.

All I can say is that I found Linear Algebra to be fairly easy. Certainly easier than calc 2.

I am frankly just bad at linear algebra in general.  I don't know why.

Exactly opposite here. Calc 2 was a breeze and linear algebra had me working my butt off.

Writing father/of-age son slashfic in German because I am too tired and cramptacular to do anything more worthwhile with the homework assignment.

See, the father just had his original copy of some Bach composition stolen, so the police are questioning everyone, and they keep on asking things like "what is [your father] like" "what is your relationship like" and "what problems have you had together in the past," and by the time we got to the alibi I was already deep in the throes of details about the restaurant they were at, and the wine and the cheese (from Spaetzle mit Kaese) the son left on the corner of his mouth in order to spark an argument.

I dunno man, I think I am in some desperate need for escapist lit., here.  Hmm... I have some ideas as to what to do until the ibuprofen starts working..

I don't always read slashfic, but if I did, I'd read it in German apparently. Good luck, anyway, overcoming the aches.

Yeah, I'll be fine in a few minutes.  I needed a break, anyway, so I'm going to sit around watching GitS and sucking on Polish candy.  And if I still feel like I can't move around at the end of the disc, there's always the internet... :D

EDIT: Back to work, I guess.  I'm tired and I can't help feeling that I've been working a bit too hard.  Oh, and that I miss home.

During my freshman and sophomore years I went home every weekend, but I can't do anything like that anymore.

Also need to cut down cost on food, because if I do that then I might be able to buy more books or something.  I really, really want to get Hellsing, GitS, and Paranoia Agent.

*sigh*

I hope there'll be some time in the near future when I can feel like I'm not pushing and pushing against an immovable object.

It appears my cat's managed to injure his eye. It looks like he's missing the top layer on part of it, and the surrounding area looks all milky. Gonna get him to the vet soon, see if he can tell when/how it happened and if it can be fixed.

Not sure if he's completely blind in it. Hope not.

My computer has gone and died on me. I'm now in the process of sending the PSU back the the manufacturers. The problem is that they are in Germany and that it could take up to 12 days after it arrives and then more to get it back. I might buy a replacement to get things working ASAP. I have a nice long weekend off and now this; The computer and I had plans this weekend too.
