Yeah, this got me too. Although I understand where they are coming from, and I know the carrier has always been a massive pain to balance. Partially because of their finnicky nature nobody plays with them, even when they are incredibly powerful.

Studying again, damn this insanely boring subject that is also the hardest one thanks to an asshole proffessor that skips pages like they are rain puddles.I do have two weeks to get it all in my head but it's around 100 pages if not more of annoyingly worded definitions and too similar formulas for it to be any fun to study

Anyway, so I was researching Latin grammar to try to figure out the correct grammar for a phrase, but quickly ran into a lot of trouble because I don't really know anything about grammar at all.
I honestly have a lot of trouble remember what verbs and nouns are... Heck I can't even remember right now and I looked it up 30 minutes ago. So it's rather difficult for me to wrap my head around what a past infinitive verb is. Nevertheless I think ex turribus sublou is what I was trying to get.
I would be very grateful if someone with some understanding of Latin could tell me what I just wrote.

Google Translate yields "From the turrets sublou". What were you trying to say in English?

EDIT: I changed "sublou" to "sublu" and got "from the turrets: HIGH". Keep in mind Google Translate's Latin translations are still a WIP, so i'll try another translator...

EDIT: I add a period at the end, and Google Translate gives me "UPWARD from the turrets".

Oh dear, I made a spelling mistake. It was supposed to be "ex turribus subluo", although I think I got more than a little confused. I think "subluo turres" is the best I can do. The "ex" doesn't really fit at all as far as I can tell.

My teacher just found out a week ago that he has had severe stomach cancer for several years. He's too weak for chemo and surgery is infeasible due to how far-spread the cancer is. Barring a miracle, he has a week, maybe two.

I was going to be sad about being out of money, but... man, I don't have the heart to act like that's rough in the same thread as that. I've got time, at the least, as far as I know - being told you have a week or two to live is just... wow. Not something that should have to happen to anyone.

I just talked to my Dad again.  I can't get a ride to his house because my parents are low on gas money and only had like a day of forewarning I guess.  My Dad said he'd even pay for it when they got there but he lives far enough away that it's not worth doing.  My Grandmother won't be back until tonight too for any spare money.  I feel bad.  He even said he was sorry and such, to me.  I feel like I should be the one saying sorry but he always says it instead.  He even admitted it was better I didn't come because he has been drinking way too much the last few months and its been a big problem for him.  Stupid alcohol.  Stupid money.  I guess I can say my parents have taught me very well how to handle money/get an education and career and not drink or smoke because I can see all the trouble, misery, and despair it causes them.

Oh, and he doesn't have the nerve to drive to my house to get me because he doesn't feel safe doing it.  :\

Jegus, I hope so.  A 3.7 GPA from here isn't too bad, and it should go up

b. After I clear that fucking C from linear algebra

So ... *sigh*  Can't get too excited about being unable to understand that one book, especially since it was a very recent book, which relies heavily on a bunch of other books in its discussions.  It's kind of like trying to read a novel without knowing the language it's written in very well.  You can see the words, and get the general idea, but you can't really tell what any of it says.
