The only insect I've ever been scared of are earwigs. It turns out I must have inherited this from my mum who is also more than uneasy around them. She didn't want her children to be afraid of them and so tried to keep it under wraps around us. I only found out she didn't like them a few years ago when I mentioned in front of her that they bothered me. It's less of a problem these days and I forced myself to handle the last one I saw, though, I must admit to being a little bothered while reading about them on wikipedia right now.

I don't see how that musters much more fear than the common silverfish. Those things are the most annoying insect ever!
