Hoo boy, "fun" is not the word I would apply to the next two days.  Huh-uh.

My fault for falling behind, though.  At least I know that when it's over, I'll be in a great position.

So much to do, so much to do...
I hope I'll find enough time to read that text for todays lecture.
Something went terribly wrong considering that I go to university five times a week...

My sister recently had a bike accident, resulting in her breaking one arm, spraining the other, and injuring her leg.

I can understand you a bit, Toony.
I'm twitchy, nervous and constantly shifting position when I'm sitting in class surrounded by strangers.
Today I'm going to meet up with my mentors and actually get to know some of the other students, so that might help.

But I must say I enjoy university.
It gives me purpose, the chance to aquire some worth, regularity and direction.
Should I fail I would be lost. I wouldn't be able to go on.
What I can do is give my best and hope it's good enough.

I won't be doing much socialising until the end of the first semester, anyway.

My neighbors could've at least had the decency to move the bed an inch or two before having sex at 2 AM, so that it didn't bump into the wall with every thrust.

“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Most of them actually aren't viruses. My virus scanner assumed DFhack was a virus and a few other clean files were viruses. I do have ACTUAL viruses in the comp, though, so I'm going to delete the apparently infected files anyway.

Five times a week is pretty common for Freshmen at least.

I'm on campus right now of course.  I'm here a lot.

Just picked up my new pair of glasses. Nearly $700.  :o

For that much money, I'd expect them to have integrated laser targeting and be able to stream Netflix. But no, they just make me un-blind. Which is nice and all, but still...

Woke up depressed. Checked FB as per usual, hoping to get a message from my long lost first love and best friend in the world. Instead I see the status update of my ex, and it hits me like a ton of bricks.

Why after over a month and a half do I still care so much? I start feeling better, then she just makes me feel worse.

Had a talk with her about our son, and when I could have him. I want him summers, offered to pay all cost to get him here and back. She refuses to let him leave state. Which means I won't be seeing him for a long time.
