Haha, I feel like I'm swimming through spiked molasses, sometimes.

I'm scared of being rude.  There's various people that I'm afraid I've offended.  And often, I forget to try to think of other people's feelings, instead just acting on my own.  I'm trying to live a more disciplined life--not discipline for the sake of discipline, but because there are so many important things I still haven't mastered or understood.

I guess it's that I'm trying to be good, but sometimes I feel that I don't even know how.  And I expect more of myself than that.

The funny thing? I envy you. I'd love to be able to "be myself" and not give a flying fuck about how other people are going to receive what I do/say. (I realize there's a big difference between not caring and not remembering to care, but meh).

A lot of people that know me in RL tend to describe me as "stoic" or "aloof" or even "unsympathetic" because I don't get all weepy when something bad happens. But the truth is, I'm actually pretty empathetic. I'm a natural Devil's advocate. I can see multiple sides of every issue and put myself in the shoes of a lot of people I disagree with. And it sucks--because I feel like I'm held prisoner by other people's sensitivities.

I suppose as I get older, I'll care less until one day in my advanced age not a single fuck will be given. And then I'll die.

Oh god, my mom was just accused by one of her bosses of stealing from the company. The nerve, they won't pay her separation fees, now, they're accusing her of theft?

I hope I can sleep tonight.

Sadly, they're probably doing the later to avoid doing the former.

But then, life was also easier when I was running around here pretending to be a man, so I guess I should just "man up" and get back to work.

That kind of crosses the line into actual quantifiable evil if they're doing that for a specific purpose. Hopefully it's just a terrible misunderstanding.

My dad has recently picked up the habit of ambushing me when I first wake up out of nowhere and getting really indignant when I babble nonsense. This is particularly bad when after decades of living in this country and having four children speaking English he doesn't have that firm of a grasp on it. So he'll ask a question that is difficult to answer when fully aware, I babble something, he gets really offended that i said whatever I said and decides to poke and prod, accusing me of a number of crimes because of this event.

Blegh, Hard Drive decided to stop working, I've only just managed to get this old one into a state where it's capable of doing anything, going to be ages before I can get all my pointless crap back.

My Mom had the same problem before, the sad part is I doubt if my Mother was actually being honest...

Peer Review has been flickering downloading/pending for twelve hours. I am starting to get irritated.

I just confirmed this, it was just a misunderstanding. Still, her boss is still adamant that she stole from the company, and unless we can pay a grand fee of 100k PHP, she's going to get sued.

There's the slightly cheaper alternative of that: Hiring an attorney. Unfortunately, it costs 10k PHP to do that, if we can find one. Fortunately, a business partner of hers, a friend, and some co-workers are gonna help with paying part of the funding, paying a bit to the attorney, and testifying, respectively.

The business partner and the friend will also be lending their attorneys too, to simplify things.

Still, where do I scrape 10k from this house? I need it by 10:00 AM today.

I'm so tired right now.  It doesn't help that it feels like everybody is telling me my whole life until I die of acute heart failure at 35.
