Maaaaah I think I shouldn't have had that cup of tea =/  Now I'm all wired.  Also hungry.  Gotta fix these issues.

University officially starts for me the day after tomorrow.
I feel weird, kind of anxious.
Not exciting?
I'm about to start working on my grades (the whole university qualification thing) again, by the way. It's rather daunting. I don't want to fail again.

Not when you have to piece together how this system works all by yourself.
Seriously, I wish there was some institution that would help you prepare for university entrance.
Just today I figured up it would be better not to take the course tomorrow, since you'll be busy enough with the other three you have to pass in order to be able to stay.

Let's see if they'll explain anything on my first day...

Good luck with your grades, scriver.

Caffeine stimulates the adrenergic system, thus it'd actually be a vasoconstrictor, (and conversely, bronchodillater )IIRC, at least). It might help with some headaches because of that though. Particulariy sinus related ones.

I also doubt that coffee dehydrates you to any significant degree, or at all (yrs, caffeine has a somewhat diuretic effect (possibly due to the vasoconstrictor effect)but in this context you are ingesting it along with quite a bit of water

Yar, caffeine is pretty weird. But that's mostly because it's metabolites are active too. I did have to look that up, though, I forgot that it wasn't caffeine itself. Anyway yeah.

Also, I would've guessed the pressure thing but I wasn't sure if people actually have neurons that report pain if cranial blood pressure gets too high. I'll assume so, though. I don't really understand the mechanics of headaches in general.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Pnx

Speak of the devil, I've been having a bad migraine all day. I tried lying down for a couple of hours, hasn't really helped.

Feels like I've had a migraine all weekend, but I know that can't be true.

Protip: don't drink coffee if you have a headache. To put a long story short, it makes you lose water.
I know, and it would be valid advice if not for the fact that drinking too little coffee causes 78% of my headaches ;)

Withdrawal symptoms? Best idea here, it seems to me, would be to wean yourself off coffee.

Ah, and cause a 200% increase of the percent of my headaches caused by too little water? I think not!

Also I see no need to. Coffee is the bestest friend.

The company my mom's working for was bought by a group of 7 Chinese people. Her new bosses keep postponing the date where they have to pay for their employee's separation fees, changing it to October 30. Last time, they said they were going to pay the fees in September 30, so naturally, I'm pissed at them for not keeping their word (and we actually need those fees). It would seem that those guys have no intention paying their employees their fees, and they are actively looking for a loophole where they don't have to pay the separation fees.

Also, those people are forcing her to work harder, while paying her for less of her original job pay amount.

This.  I just discovered that I have maybe 300 pages of reading due tomorrow morning.

I'm currently hoping to get it done by midnight, so I can do my German homework tonight instead of tomorrow morning, right before it's due... bleh =/  And tomorrow, it just gets worse...

You can do it ToonyMan! I don't have a good thing to append to your encouragement, but that's probably for the best.

Also Vector! Unless it's a really not-good 300 pages in which case you might only be able to probably do it. Who among us can say, really. >________>

Well, I'm selfishly asking for more time to spend to entertain myself.  Vector is asking for more time for actual school work it seems.
