I just make myself look good to myself and I say fuck what everyone else thinks.

So in that case I'm covered with tattoos and piercings that make me look stitched back together after like falling through a processor or something and coming out in pieces.

And liking yourself to me is really all that I care about for my appearance.

I hold myself to the same standard that I hold everyone else to, and am depressed when I don't meet those standards.

Yeah, I feel okay.  I'll probably feel even better when I am older, and have both students and published papers, because then I will feel even more beautiful.  It's really funny how that works, sometimes.  I guess it's also strange to me that I'm only now discovering what I find attractive at all, when theoretically this should happen much earlier in one's life.

But that's okay.  I don't mind being a late bloomer.

Personally when it comes to beauty I don't generally find most people very pretty, but when I start to like them I start seeing little things that somehow make them quite attractive...
I guess we all make our own beauty.

I think I've actually ranted about this before, *shrug* oh well.

Janet, you're thinking small. If I had that ability, I'd stitch a bunch of torsoes to my torso and arms all over each one, allowing me to work on 100 computers at once. I'd also add a brain and eyes to each extra-body, that way I can keep track of all that stuff.

I've been grounded indefinitely. I'll be on for tonight, but maybe not tomorrow and I don't know how long after that. But don't worry...

Still too small. You need more Torsos, maybe a few legs to support the hideous fleshy mass of limbs and thread that is your upperbody. You'll be like some horrible Elder God had a baby with Silent Hill and then that baby had a run-in not only with the ugly tree but with the entire Ugly Forest. People's faces will melt like in Raiders of the Lost Ark, Kittens will spontaneously combust, the War in Afghanistan will have a cease fire just to marvel at the horrible lumbering torso-leg-arm giant thing. Blood will be spilled in the name of freedom, freedom from the horrible monstrosity you've become, this seething mass of pink goo, eveloping and devouring all in your way.

It'll be fucking awesome.

Didn't Armok try to pull that one in a forum rpg a while ago?

So it would be like playing elona then?

Honestly if I had that much spare parts I'd just make a spare me. Two well coordinated me's is better than one overly bulky and confusing to control me.

Bah!  Fuck my low social reading ability!

My parents think that my professor actually wanted me to work with him on the translation project, which I very much want to do.  Now I have to wrangle a meeting between the mathematician and the English professor (professional reasons--I do think it would be nice for him to have someone who is really an expert in both linguistics and poetry to meet with him once or twice), AND somehow let him know that if he would like someone else who can take a look somewhat more frequently at the poetry, I would be more than happy to help...

My god, it's seriously Xanatos Rouletting all over again.  On the other hand, this is kind of fun, and being a first-semester junior and having serious research opportunities exploding all over the place is very, very good for me.

Oh, and my registration for courses next semester was cancelled due to clerical error, but that's something I can take care of next Monday.  It's just a bit of an annoyance, though.
