I noticed the number of pages was up to 2500 (with my settings at least) and decided to be sad about people having so much to be sad about.

My Oblivion disk is slowly going to shit. In some dungeons I can see dotted white lines between the prefab pieces.

And if this ISN'T your PC you're playing on you're likely to be in for a really nasty surprise soon.

Hurray for Securom, keeping us safe from communism on the internet!

I never understood the logic behind statements like that, even when stated ironically. I can't understand how people got it into their heads that not paying for something if you can get away with doing so, and valuing your personal monetary solvency over the finances of others could be construed as anything other than capitalist sentiments.

If you're playing an old version of Oblivion on the 360 that hasn't been patched and is running Shivering Isles (Or is the GOTY edition) you might be suffering from the F-Bomb bug. Eventually that manifests as a broken game.

I thought F-Bombs were a side effect of broken games and not actually part of them. Huh.

It's actually known as Abomb. Not F-Bomb.

It is working on my PC, just reinstalled it.
Going pretty much alll stealth and speed. I'm talking ninja here. I mean it is pretty dumb, because the stealth and speed is for avoiding things that are too hard to kill, and the reason everything is so hard to kill is because you have no killing skills, and you have no killing skills because you focused on ninja skills, so I'm fucked from the start...
Should be awesome!

I thought it was F-Bomb as it was caused by FormID errors.

It's an old disc, and I do have Shivering Isles. It should be completely patched, though.

If Abomb is the source of the problem it'll happen eventually no matter what the game's status is; that was never gotten rid of. I don't think what you're describing is something related to Abomb or Fbomb, though (Abomb usually buggers up physics and animations first, Fbomb items, both then kill everything else over an exceedingly long time).

We're getting a bit off topic, though I suppose the death of a gaming system is sad. :P

A way to test for the F/A-bomb is to drop an item, leave the cell (Go inside, go outside, whatever) wait ingame 72hrs and if the item has disappeared, you've got the F/A-bomb. The longer you play on a particular savefile the worse the corruption gets, until at about 300hours (it appears faster the higher your fps, so a computer with the F/A-bomb bug will often see adverse affects sooner) your game will be unplayable.

Gah. Problem, The Xbox we have here is European. Games I got for my brother and sister? American. We can't play them. Also, Xbox live's games on demand doesn't want to let me get Tales of Vesperia due to not living in the US or something.

I'm generally feeling like "That one guy who posts here but we all ignore him because of some reason." I'm not really sure why. Maybe I'm just boring or something.
Love how everybody ignored this ;). Anyway, don't worry, most of the people who post here doesn't get any response. I suppose that's one of the main reason so many people stop posting in the emotion threads after a while.

Still makes a good venting place, which is what I used it for before I started getting the occasional response (near as I can tell whether you get a response is essentially random unless you've been responded to a lot already, but since each time you post you have a new chance to get a response it eventually happens). Well, if my memory is correct anyway, hell if I know.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.
