The point is that I didn't actually take it, although I didn't say that in the original post.

This is the internet, it pays to assume everyone you meet has been convicted of every crime ever. I'm just an accepting person I guess.

I was playing as a Quartermaster on Space Station 13... God, it was boring. People were coming in and saying "I WANT A HOOKER LOLOLOLOLOO!" and "BEEEEEER BEER!". I think I also saw the occasional "OMGZ, QUATAMASTA IS GRIFFIN ME!11"

Jesus... What the fuck is wrong with those people?

I'm starting to realize. Right now a lot just reminds me of times I miss. And I do mean a lot.

Speaking of English writings, I've never understood the purpose of a thesis statement in most essays. Isn't that what most of the introductory paragraph is for?

It's pushed heavily in writing classes for two reasons. First, it forces students to get to the goddamn point already, instead of rambling for three pages. Less experienced writers, even those that are genuinely trying, are really bad at that. Second, it ensures that the instructor knows what point the student is trying to make, and can grade the rest of the paper accordingly.

Thesis statements are important once/if you start writing articles or essays for a purpose other than grading in a class. When people are looking for i.e. a scientific article on a subject they might find dozens or hundreds of semi-related papers, the thesis statement is how you identify the ones you're really looking for without having to spend too much time reading. Think of it as a form of SEO.

Damn mail.
Stuffed the package in our mailbox in a way, so it got stuck at the top and wasn't visible from a normal angle.
When I found it one day later it was so soaked, that I could peel of the cardboard.

Lucky for me that games are laminated.

...I'm convinced that my generation cannot spell without a spell checker.
We had to peer review papers today in History (which I am taking Freshman history, since...residual weirdness from moving. Half the class thought I was held back until yesterday, too. Great first impressions, right?) and at least two of the papers I looked at had tons of incorrect spellings, from "next" to "sentient".

I enjoyed that book.

Speaking of books, I have not one, but three late library books. And the Library is literally one neighborhood block away from me. I just have felt so lazy the last two weeks, even though I read all three the first day I checked them out. And librarians are good at filling you with guilt. And emptying your pockets.
