Probably maintenance on specific servers then. Give it some time and things will be back to normal shortly I bet.

Because otherwise, they've decided that 10 days is long enough that your gift offers should expire and be revoked, without telling you anything about it--not via email, and not in the introductory message.  You know--you've got 10 days!  Then you don't get to have your game!

Go into manage gifts and guest passes thing under games in the main window. Try activating it there. I had it tell me something I JUST got was invalid or expired and then it started installing. I think their servers are freaking out a bit.

Thanks, Janet, and ... thanks to whoever gave me this other thing without my knowing o_O  Hopefully it's just one of those Steam free trial games, not a poltergeist.

I don't think anyone was mentioning games in particular? I don't actually have any idea what two games vector got. And while I got two games (And downloaded a third free one recently) recently I doubt those are the same two Vector got.

Ah: I am thanking Janet for helping me sidle my way into these games from Steam.  She is today a warrior of tech and supporting.

I received The Polynomial from a friend here, who shall as yet remain unnamed, and I received Puzzle Kingdoms from a guy I know IRL because it cost a buck and he felt like being nice.

And there you have it :3

Speaking of games, I've just finished playing this weird one - you have to press buttons to hear a guy tell a story, while being distracted by fabulous artwork and fantastic music.
