You know what, Toony? You get the short, shitty version. It sounds like you're afraid of all the change and responsibility you've been burdened with by going to college. It's different, I know, but you shouldn't run away from it.

Plane crash near Yaroslavl, carrying most of the KHL's Lokomotiv Yaroslavl ice hockey team. Only 2 survivors so far. :(

A number of former NHL players were among the dead, including Josef Vasicek who played for our team.  :'(

RIP to all of them.



EDIT: And within minutes, people on Wikipedia had edited in death dates and changed "is a professional ice hockey player" to "was a professional ice hockey player" for each team member's bio, before there's even been a confirmed list of casualties. While I appreciate the desire for accuracy, that's just....cold.

Had an argument with my roommate last night (he made one too many [joking] comments about female mathematicians and how the problems I was working were baby stuff--I was stuck on a problem that was driving me nuts, the last of a problem set due next week, which I did manage to solve before getting to bed), I slept terribly, I fell out of bed multiple times, I hit my head once, and I woke up feeling quite nauseated.  Now I've had a piece of bread and my stomach feels better, but I'm still exhausted.

I think I'm taking the opportunity to skip a day of class and start freshly tomorrow (after a day of having gotten good food in my stomach and doing lots of work that should be done), but hell, I really need a weekend.
