I usually get 13-14.5 download, blame peak times. I wish I had an upload speed worth a fuck.

You do have to wonder if ISPs actually increase their speeds to popular speed-testing sites though. I certainly wouldn't be surprised.

With every server I've tried the download speed caps at 9.39Mbps but is pretty constant. The upload never goes above 86Mbps. I suspect I'm being capped by my worthless ISP.

See it says "TISCALI UK LIMITED"? They no longer exist independently but are now a part of TalkTalk. They seem more focused on phone contracts than internet and their customer service is rubbish. I phoned them the other week and they told me I'd phoned the wrong place and should phone Tiscali, they claimed not to own Tiscali. I dug out an old Tiscali leaflet and phoned their old number and got through to the same people claiming not to know anything about Tiscali.

I should change ISP...

I don't have that luxury, thanks to Karoo's monopoly over Hull.

Had a very vivid nightmare.  I very rarely remember my dreams, so when I do it's easy to confuse it with reality.

Met up with my ex-girlfriend...  Who broke up with me two years ago.  Hit it off well, got back together, and...  Really connected again.  She dumped me though, over a note (dunno what the note was though), and the dream ended with me getting heartbroken all over again.  Ffs.  Thought I was over her, but my subconscious disagrees.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

This is with a wired connection. Wireless is significantly slower, to the point that you can't play most online games well.

On my sad, I feel worse than yesterday, will probably not be better by tomorrow, and will still have to go into school to get a picture taken with a group I don't associate myself with in uncomfortable clothes that I do not yet own. That, combined with the fact that I literally learn nothing in three of my seven classes, is a real motivation and mood drainer.

Holy fuck, you guys. I've got a ~700kbps connection and rarely need something more than that (although I'm often the only one using it at any one time)! Playing games works fine, ~25-50 ping in localish areas, although I suppose a small upgrade would be nice for purposes of watching those 1080p youtube videos without pausing for a second, but what's 50 MBs for?! Can any server even transmit that quickly?... apparently so.

On another note, the ridiculously long summer in America (I think most other places have it shorter) has caused everyone to forget anything not directly relevant to their interests, which for me amounts to a bit of algebra and my programming knowledge. I think I'll just review my notes weekly next summer and breeze through the first few months as a result.

Dibs on her heart, I could use her courage and/or powers.
Or you could do it the easy way, without having to kill her. Which you probably wouldn't be able to do anyway.
