One of my neighbours had an operation for appendicitis (I think it's called) a week ago, and now he won't wake up from anaesthetisation. Or well, I guess I should say "recover from", because they can wake him up for short moments, but not very long.

I think it's rather scary that such things can happen.

That's just one of the risks with anesthesia. It's not 100% safe.

Nothing is 100% safe. You could trip and break your neck as you step out of the shower. Anesthesia is quite safe nowadays. It's not the leading cause of surgery complications, by far.

Yeah. It's the thing about not waking up at bothers me, not something going wrong in itself - had they accidently cut up his entrails or left a clock in his stomach, it wouldn't have fazed me. But this is a lot scarier.

Still not quite over the almost panic attack earlier. I don't have the urge to curl up and hide behind something anymore, but I still feel pretty pathetic.

On the upside, discovered that music works damn well for bringing me away from the panicking. Not bad given it's only my 3rd one.

So I'm all like "Hey, stomach, stop feeling like you're being marched on by cleat wearing sumo wrestlers" and my stomach's all like *gastrointestinal noises* because stomachs can't speak, that's just silly.

My stomach is messing up me for no apparent reason don't know why.  I think it may be stress from work but there's no real way to know and there is nothing to do  besides.  Overall I will be fine but its just a pain.
