Was it sexist?

Anyway, racism, sexism and a few other things on the internet are pissing me off.

The blue circle represents girls that I know well, and in person.

The red circle represents girls that I think I have a crush on.

I'd say we should get rid of all the isms, but that would probably be an ism in itself.

Mmm, I get like that if I go two weeks single. Invite one out to the movies or something, with no pressure, just as friends. If you both have fun, do it again, and go from there. The pre-dating dates are just as important as real dates.

I know how that feels, Japa.
It's my default mode. It's normal for me to crush on my female friends.

Well, I never really had more than one at a time. So maybe that can be fixed.

I haven't had a crush on anyone for over two years. It doesn't make me sad though, in fact I think it's a good thing.

What is a bit sad is that a high school girl can't seem to get her mind off me. I'm not really interested...

I tend to crush on very specific kinds of people. Generally, they've been classmates or coworkers who've impressed me in some way, but I have been known to crush on my friends too. I have two friends whom I've recently found myself crushing on for different reasons, and though I think one might reciprocate, I still haven't decided if either are good ideas to pursue beyond friendship. Besides, one may be having a girlfriend moving in soon, which would pretty well settle things! :P

Well, I'm only interested in befriending certain kinds of women.
The "smarter than me, but troubled"-type, where I can do everything in my ability to help her, to live a happy life and be successful.
And the "as fucked up as me"-type, where we can support each other, to become as happy and functional as our issues will allow.

I wonder, if I'll ever be attracted to "regular" women...

I've never been attracted to women who weren't clever. Excessive alcohol use is another big turnoff for me. As for troubled women, well, it depends what the trouble is... if they're already stressed and depressed, I wouldn't dare to go out with them even if I wanted to.

There is something very cute about the ones that you can be an emotional rock for. Sweet, even. I see the appeal in what Mindmaker means.

Yeah, sweet, but... heck, I may just be too pragmatic for that... or then we're justing talking about all different orders of magnitude. I know women whose minds are muddled up seriously. I can't imagine anything good coming from a relationship with someone like that. They get strange feelings of guilt from even talking to me (I'm ruining your day etc) and I would constantly have to worry about them hurting themselves - especially in the likely event that the relationship wouldn't last forever.

Hmm, you may have misunderstood me. I don't see myself as an emotional rock.

In case A I try to help the person to achieve what she deserves and could have easily done herself, if life wasn't a total bitch (excuse my language).
At no point do I see myself as a saviour, or somebody who stands above her.
It's just that I don't see that I'll be ever be able to achieve something great on my own, so I might as well help somebody else do it.

In case B, none is better than the other. It's a situation where both parties understand the troubles of the other and can try to help them, since they don't know how to help themselves.
A symbiosis. Twin trees that would fall over, if not for the other.
