I think at this point it's really more worth it to just reinstall.

Similar situation resulted in much joy for myself when I decided to just "screw Windows" - I backed up my personal files and started meditating on Linux.

I haven't regretted it one second.

I tried to go down the Linux route but none of the flash drives used with my sisters laptop worked well for some reason or another. I dunno if we have any suitable disks to burn either.

There is a system refresh option I'll use now, hopefully things will work out. Upcoming million windows updates.

I watched that film when far too young, however, I don't think it had any lasting impact.

Don't worry about it. You won't have to watch for long. None of us will.

I am not enjoying being asked to trade a party member's hand in marriage for a boat ride.

Wait, what. I have no memory of this thing! Is Korcha even more of an ass than I thought?

“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Yup.  Promises of Dragon's Tear + Kid, and we get to use his boat.  Asshole.

Oh, well.  It's always great to have transportation.
