Well, I haven't. Yet. I've been heavily considering some colleges down there.

Am I the only one here who hasn't even been to California?

I have been to the Gold Coast, the Australian version of California... It's pretty similar, but less palm trees and more natural disasters.

I don't think I ever have been there.

Mostly Gulf South (Louisiana to Florida and numerous places between), New York and Montana.

All right, I guess I feel a little better now about my travel inadequacies.

California's great because it's the one state that has pockets of pretty much the entire US within it.

Not many states could boast as much natural and human diversity. Want mountains, deserts, snow, plains, beaches, forests all within two hours? Live in the bay. Want L+ and C+? Go from the bay to the valley, or LA to Orange County. Want to go to Mexico without all the drug violence/murderdeath? Go to San Diego :P

I bet Washington could beat it. Mountains in the middle. Deserts straight to the east of those. Snow goddamn everywhere for half the year, except for the coast. Plains/farmland on the Columbia Plateau. Beaches on the coasts. Coniferous forests coating more than half the states. The largest temperate rainforest in the world. As for politics... Seattle, Tacoma, and surrounds are L+. Everywhere else is a corporate yet backwoods nightmare. Mexico? Pasco. Plus archipelagos. Huge rivers, thousands of lakes, et cetera.

Washington has beaches; they're just mostly horrible.

I remember a couple years back my family rented a house along the shore in Washington state. We could tell when the tides were low by the stench of the rotting seaweed. >_<

I never said they were good beaches. Though the Pacific coast down in the southern half and far away from the Sound has some sand. Otherwise, tons and tons of rocks, dead things, and things devouring the dead things.

MIssissippi has smelly brown water beaches cause the islands keep all the sewage and dairy farm wash close to schoolshore. FLorida however are god. clear blue and emerald water, beaches white, beautiful women.

BTW: my spaghetti are awesome.

I apologize for my stupor.

I rarely do this, thankfully for spell check, this makes sense.

Winnipeg is every possible CANADA IS A SNOW COVERED HELLHOLE Stereotype during the winter, and somehow all of those terrible thing reversed but still fucking terrible in the summer.

Basically, exposed skin in the winter freezes in about a minute and in the summer burns just about as fast.

Winnipeg is a frozen shithole~
You're better off just avoiding the place~
Only reason I can see for going is to find Realmfighter~
Otherwise though, yeah, Canadian winters are quite beautiful indeed~
