After apparantly being uninfected for a few weeks, maybe even months, my toe is infected again... Urggh.
That is going to kill you if you don't see a doctor.

I am aware. I've seen a doctor 3 times for my toe. I'll see a doctor tommorow, hopefully.

After apparantly being uninfected for a few weeks, maybe even months, my toe is infected again... Urggh.
That is going to kill you if you don't see a doctor. "Why does it keep coming back?" It doesn't. It's been there the whole damn time. It's why you've been feeling like shit for the past few weeks. When the shit stops for a little bit, it's not because it is "getting better", it's because it's effecting you in cycles, but still there. And keeps getting worse.
Doctor. See one. Let them know you've been plenty sick and it's probably this infection.

This is true, but I'll elaborate with my experiences from my own infected toes:

If your toe is infected, I'm guessing your previous doctor visits netted you with penicillin or another type of antibiotic and the demand that you take plenty of warm soapy foot baths to help. This does help in treating the infection, but it will not remove the infection.

The penicillin will stop the outbreaks, but if you've had it for a long time, and it comes back, the underlying cause is probably infected (necrotic) tissue. This tissue will always re-infect no matter how you treat. Treatment with penicillin will ease the pain, and of course be good for you, but it is only a short-term solution. The only way to cure the infection for good is to remove the infected tissue. Just in case you're wondering, this is a job for surgeons, and definitely not something you should ever attempt to undertake yourself.

That doesn't mean amputating the toe however. Most likely just scraping off some of the infected skin. The fact that it's been gone also suggests that your toe isn't infected through, but only on the surface. Scraping the infected tissue off will be like a severe form of removing scabs - you're not cutting off a piece of toe that will permantenly cripple you, your regular healthy old toe is underneath.

At least, those are my experiences. I've had 2 infected toes caused by in-grown toenails that I struggled with for years. Penicillin and bathing would only keep the infection away for weeks at a time, but it would not cure it. Last spring a surgeon scraped off the infected tissue, as well as cutting my nails very close in the edges, and I literally haven't felt any pain at all since the procedure. The infection has not even considered returning.
I don't know if your toes are similar to mine, but seeing as you seem to have some of the same symptons, I thought I'd share. The procedure has really been a lifesaver for me.

I got to sleep at 10 PM for the first time in around a month, thinking "hey! if I'm sleepy now I'll wake up at 7:30, my favorite time that I never wake up at!"

Cue me waking up at 4 AM and not being able to get back to sleep.

dangit medicine.

Trying to get back on a sleep schedule you want can be FUN as you either overshoot the mark with a bizarre 10-12 hour sleep or don't get enough of it and can't get back to sleep because your brain is a traitor.

Exact same thing just happened to me today.  Same times and everything, weird.

I have not gone to an employment agency all week, because I have not once been able to get my ass out of bed and prettied up before 4PM.  It's now verging on 7AM, and I am drinking coffee and launching Kerbals to their high velocity doom to the tune of Paul Ryan talking out of his ass.  The coffee is the only thing unusual about this situation, and it's certainly not an objective improvement, seeing as this when I'm supposed to be asleep.

I am never going to be awake during business hours again.

Empire Earth is REALLY pissing me off. Why? The AI cheats. Hopefully, there's a patch somewhere that stops this.

Why would it? That's one of the few RTS games where the AI is actually a credible threat with the blatant cheating.

It makes games almost unfinishable due to having 600 mortars attacking while 6 nukes are set off next to your civillians.

Seriously? Nuclear bombers are pansies. Half a dozen partisans or a single AA gun will take one out. If you have even a weak AA grid, they shouldn't even get to any of your civilians. As for mortars, keep a screen of snipers well away from your base, and most infantry won't get anywhere near it.

(I didn't even consider until now that you might not be referring to the first game because the Ai is much worse in 2 and 3 does not exist.)

Seriously? Nuclear bombers are pansies.

Not when there are 8 of them at one time bombing you five minutes into the game.

That's a little odd. The computer cheats blatantly, but i've never seen onw build that quickly. Of course, I almost never start later than the Industrial Age, but even then the most I ever have to deal with at the beginning is a few dozen infantry. Either start earlier so you can build up an AA defense, play on islands on a big map so bombers can't fly base-to-base, or add a few more AI players.
