You want to know why I hate mushrooms?

Oh god what is not to hate mushrooms?

They are rotten little flesh eating scourges on the world. They release clouds of insidious spores into the air that you have no way of fight, save possibly a flame thrower and even then you can not get all or even most of them. You can do nothing physical to them at all for if you touch them even more spores are released and it does not even matter because their important growth is underground and if you hurt the surface growth all they do is laugh at you. They are constantly trying to grow on you. Eat you. Send their tiny tendrils deep into your body and kill you.

They are every where. They know everything. They are all powerful.

You can not run. You can not hide. You will be assimilated.

Ants have already lost the evolutionary arms race, and many other bugs besides. They are now nothing but fleshy servants to the mushroom overlords.

Make no mistake. We are next.

Also, they sorta look like dicks.

Yeah, I had a friend who refused to eat mushrooms because "they grow on dead things!" (spoken as he washed down his fried dead pig and scrambled chicken abortion with the liquids of the pulverized reproductive organs of a fruit tree).

Poor Cript, he's just not a fun guy.

@Vector: How bout getting milk alternatives that don't insta-rot? Like soy milk, almond milk, rice milk, etc. Soy doesn't ever seem to rot, it just goes stale. Or curdles into tofu-like substance. And it works passably well in cooking (just don't get vanilla-flavored kind if you want to cook with it)

I eat mushrooms. I am fine with that.

Also: Fucky fuck I found a tick on me. I bet I got it when I was out stomping on mushrooms. Just another reason to hate them.

Yeah, that's probably a reasonable idea.  That stuff is absurdly expensive, but... maybe.  I'll have to see.

Really? Guess I hadn't noticed cause we tend to buy either organic milk, lactose-free milk, organic lactose-free milk, or one of the aforementioned faux milks. Can't remember the last time I just a bought a gallon of straight-up industrial moo cow juice. Even that ain't cheap these days (thank you China and your inexplicable craving for milk-flavored snacks and flavored-milk drinks).

What kind of diet is this that requires you to eat so much egg?
An egg-diet.
You basically have most meals contain eggs, supplemented by fruit and vegetables.
I don't remember the specifics. Will read up on it in the next couple of days.

@Vector:
Oh, I see. Just read "eggs" and "diet", then drew my conclusion.

I do not understand why it is so common to call it “soy milk”. It can not be milk if it is made of soy. This is rather like selling “wooden steel”.

You've just never realized that soybeans have nipples. (BTW, don't google "soybean nipples". The FurryBooru results make me want to burn my eyeballs. And I haven't even clicked on them yet.)

Yeah, I've never actually tried an omlette with soy milk. Works okay in cornbread and pasta sauces though.

Just had an unsettling incident at work. I hope what I came across was much less than I think it was. Also hope it doesn't come back to bite me in the ass.

You were dealing with Federal Agents, weren't you? I remember something about that.

Is this the kind of incident that could see you put in jail if you talk about it? Don't say that it is if saying that it is would put you in jail, though.

But then, life was also easier when I was running around here pretending to be a man, so I guess I should just "man up" and get back to work.
