The Green Lantern movie wasn't nearly as good as I had hoped. It was horribly directed in both plot and in some annoying bits, continuity. It felt sorta like they snipped an entire 15 minutes out of the really good action scenes; and considering the length (1:45 instead of 2:00), that isn't entirely out of the question.

I'm not exactly bursting with money, Aklyon. I can't afford to regularly buy 100$ headphones.
pre-audiophile quality headphones that will last you for ages. It's either that or the funky looking koss portapros. I myself have a higher end grados and audio-technicas and the sennheiser HD280 pros which I got for $120 back in the day but you can get for $80 if you're lucky. Mine are about 5 years old now? Good investment. Tough to wear on the go though. Good quality headphones will blow your mind. Those are on the entry-level audiophile end, but they'll last for years and are the best for the money and in their class.

PS: Skullcandies are cheap trash plastic rebranded shit for shiny marketing sold at a premium. But appears like you've already discovered that.
A problem I had with PortaPros was the jack getting screwed up after a year or so. It's not too big of a deal, since you just have to send it back to them and they'll replace it, but it's still a bit annoying. I actually have a broken pair sitting with me right now, because I'm too lazy to ship it out. I still love them though.

Which model of Grados and Audio-Technicas do you have? I'm on the lower end with Alessandro MS-1 and Audio-Technica ATH-M50, but the M50's blow my mind for their price. I was thinking about picking up an Audio-Technica ATH-AD900 or AKG K701 to round things out - probably the AD900 to avoid having to buy an amp for the K701s though.

Modded grados SR 225i. Simply sublime for rock/vocals/anything not bass heavy.

Audio-Technica ATH-ESW9A. I'm such a sucker for wooden and leather styled technology... I might wood-mod my grados. The sound is amazing as well.

For yours... Can't go wrong with Audio-Technica ATH-AD700 or AD900 for that price. And you can get a decent amp for $60 nowadays. Just check around on sites like headfi.org but don't buy into the hype.

My last post is not sad enough for a sad topic, so I will make it up here.

Yeah, that's my main beef with head-fi. I'm glad I have friends that have some audio gear as well, because it gives me the chance to really see how much of a difference some things make.

It generally comes down to "yeah, it does make a difference, but not as much as head-fi said". That makes me sad.

I think I have arthritis in my hands, mainly my right hand. Ugh. Body, why do you seek out ways to fuck around with me so much?

I fear early-onset arthritis myself, as it runs in my family. On the other hand, the only cancer that runs in my family is one I'm very unlikely to get, and there's next to no history of heart disease, so a little joint pain and grey hair in my twenties is a pretty tolerable tradeoff.

Came home from work yesterday to be whisked off for a surprise dinner at one of the top steakhouses in town. Had a big spinach salad and a 14oz prime rib. I have subsequently felt terribad ever since. I think I may actually have beef poisoning. Hopefully that and not the German E. coli or something.

Ah. I was not aware that it had a name. Yes, that. I hope I don't have that.

My mum is horrendous. You'd think that after being around for so long and alledgedly being a socialist she'd be a bit more tolerent of me being a completely different person to a 53 year old primary school teacher control freak, but no, she has a serious problem with me not conforming to her ideal son. I am so glad I'm such a fucking embarrasment, mum, I'm so ashamed I have no ambitions to go and do sport and do stupid shit like that. Christ, and she wonders why no-one agrees with her.

Why? Why would you post these things?
It's horrible and sad and insensitive. You are a terrible person, sir, and I do not approve.

It's just a grey screen for me. Maybe that's a good thing.
