I knew about Palin's recent trainwreck of a comment about Paul Revere. I had somehow missed this gem from last September discussing the Statue of Liberty:

Quote
“This Statue of Liberty was gifted to us by foreign leaders, really as a warning to us, it was a warning to us to stay unique and to stay exceptional from other countries. Certainly not to go down the path of other countries that adopted socialist policies,"

Agh! The stupid, it burns!!!

I don't know if it's stupid.  It's certainly "making stuff up", but it's difficult to say whether that's baseless speculation, ignorance, dishonesty or genuine idiocy.

I swear Sarah Palin just says random shit and hopes someone thinks "Yeah! I agree with that!"

Obviously some do, otherwise her book wouldn't be so successful.

She's a politician, and not a very good one, to boot. It's probably all of them.

I'll give her props for doing her own speeches. All politicians would look like this if they made their own stuff.

If she isn't making her own speeches then fire the hell outta that guy he's the single reason you are not a political Juggernaut.

Sarah Palin's a celebrity, not a politician.  Can you really call her a politician if she holds no office, makers her money on books and TV appearances, and hasn't officially jumped onto any political races? (YET?!)

It's like saying Glenn Beck is a politician.

To be fair, Schwarzenegger. Although going from being a celebrity to politics is a bit better than going from politics to being a celebrity to politics.

That's like praising a drunk driver for not relying on a chauffeur.

EDIT: I'm sad because the year is nearly half gone, and I have done squat on my New Year's resolution to begin diligently rebuilding my Mandarin proficiency. And I really need to do that if I want out of this dead-end job, cause my degrees on their own don't mean shit.

EDIT #2: And I found where all the intel jobs are. They're in the private sector. Problem is, those fuckers don't want to shell out the big bucks for a TS/SCI clearance and won't hire me without one. The government will hire without one (and then give me one), but the jobs aren't there. And what few there are have 6 million applicants each. It feels like one of those damn puzzle games where Key A is stuck behind Door B and Key B is stuck behind Door A, and you have to go through hell and high water to find a backdoor route to get past one of the doors.

Mike Sells no longer cooks their chips in peanut oil.

That's a fucking shame, those things were so damn good.

Oh well, Husman's are still pretty good.

I got a D on my SGD programming course.

It was my first college course. It's also the worst class and teacher I've ever had on anything. But that's no excuse. I need to find a way to punish myself on this.

Got into a fight with a friend. Looks like I'm not going to be talking to her for the rest of tonight.
