A pinch of consciousness or empathy is all you need to see how fucked up the situation is.
Heck, even I see it!

No Intel internship for me. Although to be fair, they were one of the last ones I had expected to get one from. :-\

Have you considered making a thread on this?

... On progressivism?  Or on this specific article?
I was thinking "rape culture" since you brought it up in that post, but I guess progressivism could also do with its own thread.

Yeah, I was thinking "somewhere to dump articles I find."

Hurm.  Maybe in a week.

Dear body:

Cut it out, that's not cool.  I want my legs back and aching is not nice.

Hmm, my eyesight's getting worse. Dunno if it's actually my eyes or if I simply am wasting too much time on the PC.

Either way, I think I should get some glasses anyway. Then Q will be the only one in class not wearing any, nyeahahahaha!

Boy I know that feeling. It also somehow knows that my dad is kinda anal about frantically asking me if I'm sick at every chance, so it'll make me unable to climb stairs without limping right in front of him. Then he'll cite some car accident I've been in, despite my right leg being the one that always pulls this crap instead of the left side that was hit in every collision.

On that note, head, I want you to stop aching. I have packing to do! And cleaning!

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Dear influenza,

My last classes are on monday. Seriously. Wait a week, and we can chill, but it's finals time right now. Because of that, I'm going to attempt to kill you with extreme prejudice.

Sincerely,

I kinda get the same question a lot too.  "Are you okay?"  It's not physically but always about my mental well-being.  I always reply the same with "I'm fine" which is an obvious lie and I hope they see this soon before I have to say it myself.
