Yeah. They have.
Okay. And how have people reacted to that?

Things change, you know? I'll probably still post from time to time and really, probably end up coming back because I am a sucker. But right now I don't want to be here.

Yeah, I know how you feel. I think a lot of forum members feel the same way, or at least need to take some time away while the raging furnace cools over. But I'll miss you -- you were funny, and sane.

Stopping for a couple of hours. Maybe a day.

I am going to have to stop you right there.

These three threads are not the whole lower forum. Even though they probably have enough posts to be a sizable piece, theres plenty of other threads and lower forums.

Four days.

Four days of real spring is all I got before they manure-blasted the whole surrounding landscape. Effin farmers.

Exactly. Nobody has ever said "Trololol no, we keep going". If somebody isn't happy with what's getting posted, they should say so without getting offensive. There might be some relapse afterwards, but if you point it out, then it stops again. Starting to flame doesn't help.

Wait wut. I have become a reason to not leave? Something's wrong here.

I MUST  SPAM MORE NONSENSE!

This is zero-content posting that could have been copy-pasted from any nerd forum ever.  I'm all about the chill policy, but I cannot find a gentle way to tell someone that they're contributing nothing of value.

Oh hah. hah hah. I am sorry. Hah hah hah. I don't know why I find that so funny.

Ya' got me there.

These three threads are not the whole lower forum. Even though they probably have enough posts to be a sizable piece, theres plenty of other threads and lower forums.

They're the most noticeable part of the lower forums as they cause the most trouble. Sure, the main RP thread in the forum games & roleplaying board is a size comparable to any feeling thread, but that's a different community, in some ways.

Hah!

I haven't had a single spring day without manure smell.

Granted, is there any obligation to submit anything of any value? Should there be any standards aside from keeping chill and keeping things enjoyable? I get the feeling there is more of a meaning to your point than that phrase can convey.  get it yeah, but at the same time the rules of keeping things chill and keeping things enjoyable seem to be all we need.

The way I see it if people get too chummy and make posts better suited to a chat program it alienates others, making it less enjoyable for them. There is a good enough reason.

I read the 1776 thread. Then I read this thread from about page 560.

Sorry to be offtopic, but I think it needs clarifying on the point that "we" did not dogpile. "We" were at the point of asking in IRC to make sure no one else posted in the thread and/or sent in a report before anyone did anything.

Unless this counts as on-topic for being a sad thing.

Don't worry, I'm not sure who 'we' are but I don't think there has been any accusations of 'dogpiling' this time around, only people saying "we are not dogpiling" and others wondering what 'dogpiling' means :)
