What the hell did I just walk into? Oo

Damn, all the Drama does happen when I'm off the internet.
The forum tantrum spiral.

Best description ever. We all just need some legendary drinks and platinum-plated bedrooms, and things will recover.

How about we have a big bonfire covered with hippies?

Argument aside, I'm sad because I don't like it when people argue, even online.

I come here for lighthearted discussions about dwarves, games, random shit, touhou, or whatever, and seeing this sort of shit makes me depressed.

Although serious discussions here are also pretty rad, I must say.

Ok, anyone and everyone can (and probably should) disregard what I say as I've only just gone quickly over the argument but I have this to say.

It appears like 80% of the people here who are arguing are either playing devils advocate or doing it 'For teh lols'

I think that a serious disscusion like this on such a public thread is counter-productive to people like Retro who is making well thought out points (which for the record I don't agree in, just that he's a good example.)

I'd suggst taking this someplace quiet.

But hey, what do I know?

you could take 0.0000001 of a second to go "huh, even if he's exaggerating a little we're kind of assholes who are ruining Toady's reputation by obsessing over anything that professes to have tits and forming self-aggrandising cliques and personality cults that leave a sour taste in the mouth of newcomers"

Okay, just for you thought much much longer then that, and came to a completely different conclusion. Turns out your thoughts are not infallible and not every one agrees with you. So yeah, you do need proof of insulting accusations.

Unlike you, I finished school.

Oh boyo, I also love to fall back on personal nonsensical insults when I can not fight a argument.

And yet people locking threads solely for special treatment doesn't? I think you need to examine your priorities.

Hey! You know what? Threads around here are treated as sovereign property of the OP. It allows a smart OP to keep a tight reign and from horrible things happening. If some one wants to lock their thread for any reason, it is fully their right.

If they do it for attention as you say, then fuck, it would be to me the equivalent of starting a thread asking how popular you are.

By the way, I would tease a person for such a thread, but not really care.

So yeah:
Makrond, the full quote still makes you out to be a troll.

I for one don't care much for the drama.

If I haven't made it clear by now, I'm here 'for the lulz', taking my posts seriously isn't advised.

Ooh dear, somebody trying to enjoy their free time on the internet? For shame! We should be debating the state of our forum and it's correctness!

Well you may be right, but I haven't raged out yet, so meh.

...

Janet has a personality cult?

*blinks*

Uh, when did that happen?

Also, I'm not very serious at all when I'm on this site, so forgive me if I've added to the general air of inanity that permeates GD (I know I'm guilty of this.)
