And even if it does, where I come from police officers can demand that you take a blood sample, if the test turns out to be negative but you seem impaired.
So yeah, nice 'dodge', I guess.

Not exactly. It does absorb fluid, so you "can" get drunk that way. But it is also a sensitive mucus membrane, so you will most likely spend the whole night sitting on the toilet and regretting it as your body tries to purge the poison with extreme prejudice.

And I would note that that while it will eliminate the liquid alcohol present in your saliva, sinuses and throat, the alcohol exhaled from your lungs will still be present and still register.

I had a literal bloody day. I cut my thumb helping my mum at her work, then cut my finger open and it bled everywhere. Yay! ^_^
