Issues with the school have really gotten to the point where the best idea now might be to sue them, grab a GED, and run away to a college they don’t have their slimy mitts into.

No, it's just that I'm tired of dealing with the stupidity and rank idiocy of most of humanity.

I need to become an academic or something, because this is just making me sad.  Sometimes, elsewhere, I feel like I'm talking to cows that won't stop regurgitating the same old cud they were fed by their owners.
It may depend on outlook, to some extent.  Some people prefer to shoot for deeper goals and knowledge, some are fine with living more in the here and now.  I don't think it's really fair to judge which is better, since there's no objective way to check it, and... well, society probably does better with a mix of views in it.

I mean, personally, I do feel a lot of curiosity and feel that knowledge is to some degree an end in itself.  I'll judge myself by how good I am at collecting that knowledge, but I'm not sure if it's fair to hold other people to those standards.

Do elaborate, please. I want to hear about this. My daily dose of schadenfreude has been slow in coming.

Be surprise at the difference, "omg wtf they don't use this system in High school?!?!?"

Do you quite mind if I do it in a light that makes me a saint fighting vs the big bad 'man?'

Yeah. Thats what they say. That is what they said about high school and middle school as well.

It seems more likely to be true this time.

Yes it is, i literally skid by highschool barely getting my diploma late (no matter what, a diploma is still better than a GED). When i started community college this year, its so easy. Its less stressful than high school yet its harder O_o

Honestly the whole system needs more flex.

I passed the standard tests with scores that have some schools filling up my junk mail box with offers. You would think they could just give me a diploma and leave me alone.

The sad thing is that nearly 70% of high school graduates would actually fail the GED.

This is what I did, except I never got past the threat phase of the lawsuit.

My situation was that I was very ill and had missed more than the prescribed number of schooldays. I was not allowed to gain credit for classes I had passed due to absences in spite of a doctor declaring that I had a physical handicap that resulted in those absences. They told me that even with perfect attendance I would be 21 by the time I had enough credits to graduate. So I dropped out, threatened lawsuit to make them let me take the GED early and was in community college by age 17.

"Noob" was already in it before, so I think it's a little late for that.
