Oh man, those were awful. How long was Knights of the Round, whole minute? It was so bad I just never used them. 8 had 'em too, except summons were pretty much requisite in that game.

In 5, the only one you couldn't hold b through (In advanced) was the intro thingie. That was fineish, though.

I don't know... I can never get tired of Odin in 7. Especially the boss version with the friggin' spear.

Summons were critical to have in 8, but there was almost never any reason to summon them. With very little effort, you could get even weak characters out-damaging anything but Eden. Every round. As a standard attack. There's a reason there's more guides on how not to break that game than there are for breaking it. Shame, it was one of the best in the series, but only 9 was easier.
