If taking a long time to explain simple concepts to him was bad enough(The conversation usually goes "Explain the whole concept then explain bits of the concept as he didn't hear one word of my overview") he usually tries to explain the very thing I just explained to him to me. If it's just him trying to understand it himself by repeating it to himself then he kinda sucks at that as he does it in a very lecturer style.

I think our parents just want to talk and can't think of any other way of doing it.

I would bet money Andrew has edited things retroactively, except I can't prove anything because it was edited retroactively.

That's rather early, isn't it? Sounds like something I'd do, then wake up at 4 in the night xD

Volleyball makes me sad. I have never played a more horrible, unappealing, boring, and frustrating to play sport in my entire life.

You're doing it wrong then. Spiking and hitting the ball with a fist strike so hard the floorboards squeak when it hits the ground again is pure win.

Double points if you're playing with a basketball.

My parents manage to yet again ruin a show for me by dumb comments. From my father who for some reason just has to explain to us what exactly is happening or is about to happen to my mother who manages to make every possible connection to the shit that is happening in real life, really, really infurating. And they wonder why i don't spend more time with them

A friend of minehas it worse. His ma wants you to explain whatever she's watching to her, even when she's watching it and you are not. Seriously, we walked in the door one day when she was watching some movie or other (that neither of us ever had or ever will watch) and she immediately told us she was confused and started bombarding us with questions about the movie.

My father does this. Sorta. He makes as Many horrible puns he can in a quick succession, essentially ruining the movie for me. It makes me very angry. I tend to not watch movies with him.

Where do you start looking, if you want somebody to chat with on a regular basis, preferably from the UK or the US?
There really aren't that many options to choose from, if you're unwilling to pay...

I think he's talking about the chat client stuff. Mindmaker here apparently met someone he thought was nice through a program, only to lose contact with the person because the program blocked him from communicating further (trial was over).

I'm not too sure what you mean, though. Can ya elaborate a bit?

It really doesn't matter to me.
MSN/email/some sort of platform, either one is fine with me.

I've always struggled with IRC, couldn't figure the goddamn thing out.
But what the hell, I'd even use that.
