Well, let's see.  She's probably 10+ years my senior, out of college by many years, and I know she has stress issues.  I don't especially like her, but she's by far the best roommate I've had so far in 2 years of being away at college.  Being 10 years older than I am means that, in all probability, she's not going to change her ways (and indeed, she still has meat open in the fridge and making everything smell terrible/rot faster despite having argued about that sort of thing multiple times)

I'll probably just look for another living situation for the summer, but for now this place is low-stress enough that I'd rather stick around and try to keep things going smoothly.

And yeah, it really isn't something I can do anything about.  That's why I'm complaining, rather than doing something about it.

Hell, I don't even really see the problem. It's just a 'have you cleaned the bathroom yet'. You reply 'Nope, I'll have it done by monday'. I think that's very typical roommate behavior.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

Well, if it's the lesser of two evils, I guess it works out.

Good luck with things, then.

It rankled because of what it came as a response to--"I am up to my ears in work."  She didn't act as I would have expected her to, i.e. saying something about being sorry about piling on more work first, or something like that.  Then, when I said "Well, I have until Tuesday to do it, at least," she proceeded to press the point harder and harder.

Whatever.  I'll finish my Russian and my Rhetoric, and then I guess I'll clean the house again before I go back to studying mathematics.

The last few days have been pretty crushing.  I finally got a lot of shit off my chest, but I don't really feel any better.  I can feel my old habits and crutches taking hold.

I dunno.  I'm not depressed, just that same old feeling of not knowing what to do next.  At least I knocked a couple big conversations off the "anxieties" list.  Finally getting out some shit I wanted to say means I don't have to think about what it would mean anymore.

I can't keep coming home without a companion there to greet. I never realized that he would come up every time I enter and exit the house.

Yeah, going from having a dog around to not having one is a pretty hard transition.  Drove my dad nuts for a good year before he stopped thinking about it.  Condolences again on the buddy.
