As nobody ever told me, because I made it up just then, always says:
"If you're going to gamble on your grades, then you may as well spend your tuition fee at a casino. Your money is just as useful, and at least then there's pretty waitresses."

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

Truth be told, there are very few good situations. You can get teachers that will flay you alive if you mix up bits from the two World Wars, and others who seem to have studied the topic by playing WW2-themed shooters.

It's what you get when you add up outdated-but-functional or novel-but-unrealistic educational systems, wildly varying standards of teaching and grading from school to school  and teacher to teacher, a mandatory "universal" test meant to gauge the knowledge of students that ends up in being a purpose of itself, and general human stupidity, incompetence and greed: utter bloody chaos. Complete morons that can't string together a phrase ending up with degrees in philology, and other such specimens.

Fortunately, those who are capable and willing to pursue a certain field of activity generally make it, so there's still hope.

I am fucking angry.

And I just may try to fix it.  Let's see.

Still think Philosophy is incredibly valuable, personally.  May not have direct practical applications, but it teaches us perspective.  Basically, it doesn't teach us how to live our lives in a day-to-day or technical sense, but it helps us figure out how to navigate and appreciate the bigger picture.  The education may drain these values from the subject, but still... a philosophy degree is meaningless on its own, but I've been told that it's one of the best supplemental degrees.  To an employer, it says a lot.  A person can have a fine-tuned set of technical skills, but still be pretty dumb.  This isn't as easy to do with philosophy.

Shooting up the school or setting it on fire won't help. Trust me, I know.

I meant in terms of "becoming a great educator after having outstripped Montessori, Socrates, and Binet," but all right.  Thanks for the input.

Handwriting, mayhaps?
Anyway, if it is, it's not really something you need to worry about.
Atrocious lettering is an everyday occurrence even amongst those of us with more than a decade of formal education.

Again, I can attest to this.

Just physically writing. It's completely illegible. I do know how to sort of write.

My handwriting is best described as "unreadable". I can read it, so I hardly care.

On tests, I switch from cursive handwriting to type-like letters. A bit slower, but perfectly legible.

I just don't have the motions for forming most of the letters. My brain can't seem to grasp it.

Spoiler: Just for comparison. (click to show/hide)

Anyway, what exactly do you mean when you say you can't grasp the motions?
