I think it was more on how the box advertises itself, ignoring the blatant stereotypes in the comic of course.

I hate things that try to get more sales by putting a half naked woman on it, go market porn like that, I'm playing a game, not masturbating.

I interpreted it as "I have seen men doing this before," with a side of sticking too hard to the factual story and perpetuating stereotypes by accident, but I agree that the comic is pretty bad.

Yes, the original intention in my statement was annoyance at those gods damned boxes.
Meanwhile,
It's funny how genre savvy works in that I and a few of my friends who are aware of the prevalence of half-naked womenfolk in advertisements will actively avoid such products, even in the event that they are, in fact, the best choice.

H games.
Now you can do both.
Sometimes with more game, even.
Such is the case with a few PC-98 gems, such as Night Slave.

If it's by accident, then the comic in general (not just that one strip) is one long, repetitive accident. I think the author feels like she's breaking gender stereotypes while unintentionally playing to them to the letter (or at least playing to different ones).

Yup, that's pretty much my opinion as well.

Because nothing says "sex sells" as much as a pair of boobs on a box. In 3D even!

As bad as it is, this is a fact I know to be true…

Because we all know that all males are sex-driven idiots, and that no girls are. Riiiiiight.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

Could just be parodying the reaction that the video card manufacturers are apparently expecting from their target audience.

I have to write a four page report on one of five different short stories.  None of them are more than a page long.  This is going to be intense.

My choices:

Hills like White Elephants.  This seems like the best choice, as it's the longest (So I can summarize it as I go and waste space) and has quite a bit to work with.

Girl.  Has the whole psychological angle to explore what with her parents and all.  Probably not doing this one

55 Miles to the Gas Pump.  Awesome story, but only like two paragraphs, I'm not sure I can squeeze four pages out of it.

The Story of an Hour.  The twist ending is great but another one I'm not sure I can squeeze four pages out of

Happy Endings.  Another awesome story but the same as before.

What do?

Write a good half a page and then give the teacher a snack pack pudding telling her that's the useless filler.

She did mention that she was cutting down the page requirements for the final essay because she had too many classes that quarter for ten page papers, she would only be able to read the first page or so.  Everyone planned to write one good page and then Lorem Ipsum the other nine.
