Tried to kill myself again today.
It's not been a very good day...

MoM why? If you died do you know how I would feel? I would be shattered, I feel that I've come to know someone and before my eyes they die. And what about Yumi? How will she react? If you really want to die, then consider everyone else. I dont want people to die. Please just find something that you want on this world or someone who depends on you. THink what would happen to them.

I think I ought to clarify here.

I don't mean to be cold, but the subject of attempted suicide is extremely weighty for this sort of place on the Internet, and I don't think it'll actually help you much. I've seen you post this kind of stuff in many varied places on these forums on a regular basis, and I understand that seeking attention and validation from Internet half-strangers can give momentarily patch up moods and give some vague semblance of feeling better, because I've been there. However, if you really consider any of the people here to be real friends -- the kind you'd talk to about things like this -- then I recommend talking to them on a more significant, private basis rather than spilling your guts about everything publically; it's jarring for others to see it here and will not do you much significant good no matter how much you think it will. Whatever it is you get out of your behavior here (and the responses to it) is a dim shadow of what you'd get from good professional help or from sincere one-to-one relationships with people. You can't expect to get better just by repeatedly coming here, crying about your problems, and receiving cheap validation in return. That's attention-seeking behavior, it's addictive, it's not something you want to become dependent on, and it won't help you solve your problems.

The old "I am selfish so I want you to be selfless" argument really gets my goat.

I'm sorry for any roughness.  I am very tired of suicide watch.  Guess I just need to go do something else, or something, or find friends who don't collapse into puddles of self-loathing quite so easily.

I'm not talking about you, MoM, I'm talking about the frequent suicides at my old high school and a particularly irritating old friend.

Let us hope your pain diminishes someday soon.  I, too, recommend finding some better help than we can offer--for your own sake.

^ Where by diminishes I don't actually mean "ends in an irreversible and nasty sort of way."  Or "an irreversible and theoretically-pleasant-but-actually-not-so-great way."  Or, since all methods are irreversible thanks to the directionality of time, I'll just put my foot in my mouth.

ARMA: Combat Operations was a waste of money.  There's a good reason most people don't make "realistic" shooters, because you can't play them realistically.  I have no idea what the game actually expects from me, and apparently everyone else who dared play it had the same frustrations, because there doesn't appear to be a walkthrough for it anywhere on the Internet.

I'm reminded of an article I read on game AI design (of note, the concept of "playing to lose").  No clue where it was, though.
Also some of this guy's stuff, though IIRC he talks about playing rather than design.
