I had high winds and snow overnight once when I was younger, the snow was just the perfect consistency that the next morning there was this shit all over the ground.

...I'm not sure if that makes me miss the North or appreciate the South.  As much as I'd love to see shit like that in my yard, it's kind of intimidating.

Damn, I've met my ex-love interest from high school, who's just got engaged to be married, and I'm feeling lovelorn.
At this age, and after ten years, it is kind of sad.

Still sorry.  But I'm not sure my boss would be too happy to hear that I blew off work to talk mew all night.  Would be a good way to quit though, so keep it in mind.

We spent all of yesterday preparing for the inevitable power outage. My father dug out an old rotary phone that doesn't need power, the washing machine was filled, then stopped, the wood stove was cleaned out, and what happens? Nothing. Snow, wind, but no power outage, we didn't even lose our (satellite) internet connection. I feel cheated somehow.

Since when do regular landline phones need external power anyway? There's a reason the thing only has one cord.

You were.

I feel cheated too, the forecast said "lowland snow". When that happens we get lots of snow. Now? No snow :( .
