The heating in our flat isn't working, it's bloody freezing..

Freezer basement bros unite. It's not too bad when you have a coat and boots on, but it makes getting up in the morning impossible as you have to dash to wherever your sweaters and jackets are, and nobody can run that fast in the morning. I suppose one could use their lovers as a makeshift jacket, but they would probably wake up and fight back due to the cold.

Just carry your blankets around with you.

Is there a contract? If so, I think you need like a month's heads up to terminate it.

"Privately renting" probably means illegal subletting (without notifying the landlord).  I have no idea what one's rights are in that situation.

Well we didn't have the money to live in our old house, so we moved to the flat, we were renting cheap cause it was unofficial, legally the flat was empty, so we got it cheap. This deal was worked out between two friends who fell out, and we got the raw end.
