"Are Children a Right" thread starting to heat up. Flame war possible.

It's interesting to see some of the more unusual topics discussed.
I'd like to see it to go on for a while.

Still time to edit it out. The message was sent to the intended party. And I'm with you on that, saying "Honestly I just don't care about whatever tragic circumstances you are in. My ideals must be upkept" is an asshole move.

Yes, The idea that humanity could spawn someone like that makes me sick. The fact that damn near everything he's posted so far applies directly to me doesn't help.

Duke: It makes me sad that I may be banned, but if I am, so be it. I may have made the post in a moment of rage, but I stand by it, and as such will leave it there.

As much as I wish to agree with you, I'm not feeling it. And I'm sort of sore on people being called trolls before that threshold has been reached. It's a gut response to anything strange online now, so it's best to avoid this 'till he starts overtly starting sick fires for the sake of sick fires and not for a discussion. Unfortunately one could claim he didn't know about MoMs situation when presenting his views, and ones views shouldn't be changed just because they are around the person it applies to.
I will be watching closely for violation of the rules, however. And Toady can still lock it if enough people get up in arms over it.

There's a reason why lots of scientists don't express skepticism towards man-made global warming.

(Hint: It has to do with the social and work-related ostracisation of those who do.)

I think we've reached that threshold at this point.

Well fuck.

And I just made a post advocating caution. Napalm has been thrown on the fire.
And I just know that people are gonna be up in arms after this has been resolved because they feel nothing in there was enough for moderator intervention.

Do "weapons" include enough Bulletproof Riot Shields to build a fireproof fort?

Bulletproof does not mean fireproof. Toony, do you have any industrial grade fire extinguishers?
