Dasleah got banned.

D:

Not that I have anything against the guy, but I'm honestly surprised it took that long.  Note the pattern, everyone that becomes famous for their biting wit and poetically awesome teardowns of dumb people eventually gets banned.  Why?  Because "Be Chill" is Rule #1.  And it's not like it's even a hard rule, I remember Yanlin got muted a dozen times before Toady banned him.  In Dasleah's case, when you go into a thread, calling people idiots (however perfectly justified), and go around saying "lets see it takes for me to get muted again", you're beyond tempting fate and into just asking for it.

So who reported him as a troll for disagreeing with them this time?

Seriously, just get off that.  "Disagreeing" and "being a jackass" are two different things.  I'll miss the guy too, certainly he was entertaining.  But he was entertaining because he was a jackass.

I'll get off it when it stops being true. Twice now in different threads I've been asked 'If you don't agree why do you keep posting here??' which is a pretty good sign of a forum that discourages dissent by howling that whoever is disagreeing is a troll and hitting the report button.

Edit: Also the thread has been deleted so nobody can tell but from several reports Dasleah didn't do anything wrong

That thread did get sort of heated, but I rather enjoyed reading it, for what its worth. I'm sort of sad things worked out like this.

Reports do not ban people.  The moderators ban people.  If you have a problem with their decisions, take it up with them.  Don't just whine here about it.

Except the moderators work by mod reports so again it falls back to incorrect reports. Or do you seriously think Toady and ThreeToe read every thread on every forum?

No, but they do read reported posts. Which is the point.
