Just found out that my daughter is a) able to identify medicine bottles correctly, b) get the childproof caps off, c) take one individual pill out of each bottle, d) put the correct lids back on the correct bottles and e) decide that she should probably not play with them, and come and get me instead.

I'm sad because things could have been a whole lot worse.

You should be proud of her smart decision. I remember from some previous post that your daughter is a toddler (3 or something I guess), right? So that is actually really smart of your daughter.

Anyways, childproof caps aren't exactly 'childproof', better to put them somewhere that she can't get to them. Since she has the right idea going, you should reinforce that and tell her that she did the right thing.

Oh, wait, no. Bad idea.

She's not quite three yet. I did tell her that I was very proud that she came to get me. The bottles are now well out of her reach, and almost out of mine.

@Duke: Her favorite "candy" is actually Tums. Go figure. She is limited to one a day, though. (The calcium is good for her.)

So due to stupid bullshit regarding final exam schedules, I will likely have to retake this class next quarter due to completely missing the final exam. The reason? The class I'm in diverges radically from the master schedule the university uses, and I went by the master schedule to plan out my schedule this week. GAAAAAH. I know I'm the idiot and it's my own fault, but that only makes me sadder.

EDIT: Huh. Apparently they are going to let me make it up next quarter. I'm not sure what exactly that means. But I guess there is hope for the situation after all.

My guess:  "You don't have to do the tests and homework next quarter, you can just take the final exam...you know, the new final exam, so we can make sure you don't cheat".
