Since I'm cooking tonight, I needed them done... so I "finished" putting them in the dishwasher for him, and handwashed what I needed... took me about 5 minutes. Thus, I have a small Angry at present.

. . .

Any ideas?

He's too lazy to put dishes in the dishwasher? I've had the dishes dispute, but never in a house with a goddamn newfangled auto-matic dishwashing machine. That's just a sad kind of lazy.

And if you do the cooking and dishwasher guy doesn't, couldn't you just tell him to wash the dishes or he doesn't eat? Seems fair, cooking is generally a larger job than cleaning up afterwards. You said you don't want to start an argument, but you have the higher ground if it devolves to that. Dude sounds inexcusably lazy.

That would be a sad and disturbing image. :(

Not to belittle the incident or anything, but I'm struck by how this contrasts with such a situation (violent kitty death) in games. To be fair, games are computer simulations involving lots of numbers. And games are played for fun, as well as to escape the boredom, dreariness, and sadness of the real world. But in DF, players generally react to violent "kitten death" quite differently.

I'm just saying that maybe an occasional reminder of the harsh realities of reality and how it differs from simulations is not entirely bad... And a reminder of how life goes on. It depends on one's perspective, I guess.

To be honest I wouldn't have given two shits about the kitten if I hadn't been feeding it, and the other wildish cats that live around my house, and petting it since it was born. Most of the cats near my house are either ones we used to have inside that had to go outside for several reasons, or decendants of said cats. Was one of my parents who did it, it had tried to crawl into the car as they where about to leave for groceries, they cried for awhile when it happend.

I'm getting bored with talking to people. I want to actually do stuff with them. And by that I don't mean video games, movies, and food. And by that I also don't mean dating.

Maybe if I get my action drive out of me, people would be more interesting?

How are the other family holidays a sham?
Valentine's day was basically invented by Hallmark, but not so sure about the rest.
