I just listened to someone tell me about every worry about their difficult life and attempted to comfort them. I hope it worked.

I'm just sad that I'm a monk and monks can't give hugs. Though if I weren't a monk, she probably wouldn't have told me or anyone anything. :(

My grandfather just died. I just got off the phone with my mother, who's at my grandparents' house. She said it happened a few minutes ago. I need a fucking cigarette, and I ran out days ago.
I hope he went peacefully with happiness.

She said he just rolled over, went to sleep, and died shortly thereafter. About as peacefully as one can go. I was there a few hours earlier; he was curled in a fetal position and wasn't really aware of anything around him; I couldn't stand seeing him like that, or just waiting around for something to happen, so I went home. It may sound callous, but I'm glad I wasn't there; I'd much rather be alone with my thoughts that are wont to stray to happier things. My neighbor gave me a pack of cigarettes this morning when I told him what happened. I'm glad for that; the nicotine dulls things.

Well completely ignoring everything that happened which I didn't pay attention to, I am sad that Cacame isn't going to make it past stage one of the One vs All tournament over at The MS paint Forums.

I tried taking The Art of War and turning it into an XML/ePub file. OK fine, I decided to use <br//>s to break one verse from another, only to discover that it doesn't display right on my iPhone. I ran through document using find and replace, removing some <br//>s and replacing others with <p>s and the rest with </p>s. Two hours and I'm finally done, compress and sync with iTunes.. but wait, what's this? I seem to be missing some unclosed <p>s. Dammit. I spend another 30 mins looking for those <p>s, closing them with </p>s. Compress, sync, and.. yes! It works.
I think I've had enough XML for the next few months.

The forum keeps swapping <br//> with one slash out with a new line for some reason, so I wrote it with two.
