So. Where to start.

Aside from her being your god daughter, why did you vie for custody against her grandparents? Also, what is the prognosis on your leg?

Because they wanted nothing to do with me, and I'm close to her. And to be a bit of an ass I'm more capable of them in making sure she still has a stimulating education and goes to a good college, if she ever even gets any ambition again. She quit the girls basketball team, and she was the captain. She had good grades. This is horrible. I have her seeing a counselor, one I actually know, but I just don't know besides trying to support her.

As for the leg, not that I even care, I won't ever walk the same way again.

You intend to do. And I'm not trying to sound like some asshole sage figure, you care enough to get this done right. Proceed to be as awesome as you are and show her how awesome she is.

We know you can do it. You wouldn't of fought so hard for her if you couldn't all this time. I believe in both of you!

I'm afraid I never knew you well enough to offer anything besides hope.

Best of luck to you.

Good luck.  Your friend made a good choice in making you godfather... you've already shown your determination to fight for her.

It's going to get better.

Have faith and believe in yourself.  If you keep hoping and trying hard, you're certain to make it through in the end--and we all know you have more than enough fighting spirit to do it.  So, do your best not to worry, and just keep believing in a good future for both of you.
