In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

I was sick for a few days, but now I'm healthy, which means back to work.

when I'm having an anxiety attack, a nap usually helps (a lot, actually). If I can't take a nap, I opt for a warm shower

I usually hop up and down and sing--for me, it's always about having way too much unproductive energy.

Tomorrow is a Monday dammit.

Then the day after that is Tuesday, then Wednesday, Thursday then Friday.

But after that is Saturday which makes me happy.

I have the odd feeling that you just made a sex pun somehow.

The gelato with Rosewood... I don't know how I feel yet.

Good?  Bad?  A little sad?  But I'm not nostalgic anymore... at long last, that's gone.  I enjoyed the time I spent with him, but I'm not swimming in it anymore.

It's good that you've moved on. I mean, I don't know a whole lot about the situation, but from what I've seen of threads I've eavesdropped in, Rosewood doesn't deserve your thoughts or energy.

You have more important things to think about...like Vector.

I'm stuck in my room. It's midnight, and I'm tired. But I can't go to sleep until my dad gets out of the living room because I have to get the laptop back in the case or he'll know I was up. D:

I thankfully never had to deal with this bullshit.

Sunday when I stayed up all I night Saturday I came walking down that morning to see my Mother sleeping and my step Dad sitting on the couch.  He's like, "Did you stay up all night?" and I was like "No way man."  He just laughed.  They honestly don't care as long as I don't hurt myself or miss school.  They say it's good I stay home instead of "causing trouble in the streets" or whatever anyway.  Why is it that every other person I know have stuck up parents that only seem to actually make the kid feel worse.

I should be perturbed that I walked right past another community fight in that GRR WOMEN thread, but screw it.  I would have had absolutely nothing to say, and it looked like a hurricane in a bottle anyway.

I am sad that I really need to go see some doctors.  I actually have dental insurance, I haven't had a physical since I was eleven years old, and I desperately need to see a podiatrist.

I'm also short about two thousand dollars to get the one car I've seen that I would actually want to buy.

Feel shit - heavy cold coupled with a hangover and sleep deprivation. Crawling through an RE essay with a massive mug of whiskey-laced espresso.

whiskey-laced espresso.
Isn't it a bad thing to mix a depressant and a stimulator?
