hey, books aren't a bad subject to talk about. as long as he doesn't like twilight.

@Footkerchief round here, room temp is closer to 80. can't help with the banana problem though, unless you have a sunny window.

Hahaha.  No, we're just talking about the symbolism in Heart of Darkness.  You can't go wrong with books about the Congo.

Now don't go ruling out potential methods of giving him an epiphany. Everyone knows that Near-Death Experiances bring great re-evaluation of one's life.

Hmmm... yes, a very good point.  Perhaps I should bring along my swords of stabbing, in case he gets feisty :3

In any case, I hope you're sure about all of this, and good luck to you.

I'm sure that, at the very least, I am going to have Bavarian mint, lemon, and almond gelato, and those three things will make me a reasonably cheerful person.  Thank you for the luck =)

Please don't bite Japa in the nuts.

I'll try not to.

There may or may not be slash threesome shipping from my end.  Harlequin x Marlowe x Kurtz, by the way.  Even hotter than Ahab x Ishmael (which is pretty frickin' hot, I tell you).

I would bet money Andrew has edited things retroactively, except I can't prove anything because it was edited retroactively.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

It's 80 here too during the good part of the year, but during winter, 70 is the best you can hope for.

I would read that last one, if only for its supreme ridiculosity. From Hell's heart, indeed.

Sadly, the only Moby Dick fanfic I have found was Ishmael x Queequeg =/  I wasn't too fond of that pairing.

Where the heck do you live that you can hope for 70 in the winter?

No love for Ahab X Moby Dick?

You can tell from the hatred their passion for each other.

Hmm... yeah, that could be okay, but I really preferred the Ishmael-Ahab dynamic.
