A should have a "the" before awareness.
B is correct, but worded strangely. Saying that the wild is innocent like that is just weird.
C is fine.
D is also correct, but worded strangely. "Like all mammals do" would be better.
I think A is also fine.

And the day an English exam tells you to avoid using pretentious language...

And damnit Workerdrone, hope you get well soon...

... No, this guy wrote the book and is extremely proud of it.  Also, he has told us that the theme of the essay will be "write about the metaphor implied in the title and its development throughout the course of the book."

Boring?  Yes, I think so.
What is this metaphor? What is the title?

I've RMA'd this graphics card at least three times by now, and it's starting to spew bad polygons again. I see at least five at a time in every game. Darksiders is unplayable because the polygons run amok, preventing me from seeing anything.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Maybe I should just have stuck with NVIDIA.

I've had that happen with nvidia cards too.

how old is your card?

a sure sign that it's at the end of it's days is when the polygons are displaced on the windows desktop.

I think one of my shopmates was expelled today.  I go back to shop tomorrow so I hope this isn't the case.

Fallout Tactics has the worst music I've ever heard in a video game.  Seriously, the entire soundtrack appears to consist of one song called "Woman moans in despair while a guy plays the drum"

I'm just starting to doubt that I have what it takes to get to the nebulous goals I set for my life. I don't think I'm the sort of Intellectual All-Star that can gain the knowledge and reputation such that, when I'd write something, it'd carry weight. Maybe I'll feel differently in the future... but I don't know. Maybe that ship has already sailed, and I'm too far behind the curve to make up that difference, no matter how much effort I put out there.

Not that it really helps, but I often feel this way.  Solidarity in intellectual fear.

Blorgh, better get studying... I haven't touched my books today, but on the other hand I've done nothing but housework and school crud.  *sigh*

What is this metaphor? What is the title?

Am I letting you trace my professor and, by extension, my hometown?

No.  Sorru.

*sigh*

My stepsister and her boyfriend have decided to sleep outside my room tonight. My dad took my door a few days ago.
And then he throws a fit because I sleep during the day.

I dunno, you guys have survived Thomas the tank engine, golems, zombies, nuclear explosions, laser whales, and being on the same team as ragnarock.  I don't think something as tame as a world ending rain of lava will even slow you guys down.

The logical thing to do would be explain why you couldn't sleep last night, that or get ear plugs.

I can't sleep right now, it's 2:00. I know that he will throw a fit because my lower brain is going to throw that big switch labeled "don't die of immune failture" sooner or later and I'm going to pass out where I stand. He just engineered an excuse to throw a fit. And cause me harm in the process. And that's all he does.
