Reboot and Select proper Boot device
or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key_

Now I just need a Linux CD or something...

D:
Boot failed x4.

isolinux: Disk error 80, AX=425C, drive EF

Boot failed: press a key to retry...

Wife just demanded that I help her with dishes, and then bitched at me because I wasn't going at it like I was getting paid for it. This shit just isn't worth it some days.

The little bar thing that goes on the bottom of the screen died.

Windows Taskbar gone? If so, hit [Ctrl]+[Alt]+[Del] and go to File > New Task (Run) and type in explorer.exe, and click OK.

If you're on a windows box, it ought to fix your problem.

I apparently have to cry for my theater scene.

Hoo boy.

Don't they have extra-large eyedrop bottles like Count Olaf had in the move adaptation of A Series Of Unfortunate Events? You can just make your eyes all wet and go WAAAHHHh and it'll be the exact same thing...

WHY DID YOU HAVE ME KICK THEM WTF I DID NOT WANT TO BE SHOT AT.
I dunno, you guys have survived Thomas the tank engine, golems, zombies, nuclear explosions, laser whales, and being on the same team as ragnarock.  I don't think something as tame as a world ending rain of lava will even slow you guys down.

No, it won't be, and it's an acting class.  The point, I believe, is to actually cry.

Got any strategies for doing that?  I mean, other than just stopping blinking for a while.

Poke the inside of your nose with something sharp.  That'll get those tear ducts flowing.

But then you leave the audience wondering why your lover jabbed you in the face just before telling you it's over.

How difficult that will end up being varies from person to person, I think. Despite not training for it, I can will myself to crying if I concentrate for about a miniute on it, so perhaps you can as well. Some people try to force themselves to cry by focusing on past emotional trauma and other sad things, but I'm not certain if that's a good idea. I guess you could also put some non-visible irritant on one of your fingers and find an excuse to get it near your eye around that point, but hoo-boy is that going to hurt.

Amendment:  You can do it mid-scene with the proper technique (URL very indirectly related).

Me?  An extended game of make-believe, probably.  I think that the acting teacher is trying to get me to play against type... and, well, if that's what she wants, then I intend to give her a good show :D
