Start a feudal student party at your school and openly merge fiefs in front of them.

A truckload of people took a (semi-legal; they got parent notes) field trip from my high school to protest the protest. They ran around in face paint and such, apparently having a grand old time. I was stuck doing The Calculus.

Start a feudal student party at your school and openly merge fiefs in front of them.
And video tape that.

I started playing Nethack recently, and I just received the most annoyingly ridiculous death I've ever had. I was playing as a (lawful) dwarven valkyrie, and I was killed in the gnomish mines by a kobold lord with a wand of lightning. I found it worse than the Gnome With The Wand Of Death. It wasn't enough for it to be able to kill me. No, it had to blind me with the first blast and then shoot me in the back when I was fleeing through the only available escape route. Asshole.

Even better: When I requested my possessions be identified, it turned out that I had picked up (among other things) two uncursed scrolls of enchant armor, one of identify, an uncursed potion of speed (wish I had known about either this or the identify scroll, maybe I could have lived), an uncursed bag of holding, an uncursed magic lamp, and a can of grease with sixteen charges. The bag and the lamp were both sitting next to a fountain on level 1.

Farvel Hopeless Idiot the Valkyrie...

You died in the Gnomish Mines on dungeon level 4 with 848 points, and 491 pieces of gold, after 1132 moves.
You were level 3 with a maximum of 41 hit points when you died.

My last valkyrie was killed by a small mimic in a shop on level 2. I missed it about twenty times in a row.

ToME... Skeleton Warrior... the skills and stats match up PERFECTLY... but skeletons start out at the bottom of an insane dungeon, and the skeleton mages in it are ridiculously overpowered at low levels. I should be really strong... If I can survive getting out of there.

...so...much...dying...

I started work on a rougelike today (technically yesterday, as it's 2 AM). I've gotten to the point where I can make a little @ run around the screen and bump into the walls flawlessly. Not shabby for one hour of coding and two hours of debugging.

I dunno, you guys have survived Thomas the tank engine, golems, zombies, nuclear explosions, laser whales, and being on the same team as ragnarock.  I don't think something as tame as a world ending rain of lava will even slow you guys down.

I just finished reading Half Life: Full Life Consequences. I don't care if the kid who made this is nine or not. It still sucks.
