That's bad but for some reason the two things that annoy me most are

This is true in it's way, but I'm off to a good start.  I bought Earth: The Book and am engrossed with it.  Of course, it's mostly pictures and not very long so it doesn't exactly count, but it's something.  Then, I'll finish Neuromancer (after I got two thirds in and stopped reading for no explicable reason, since it was finally getting to a good part), and then the World War 1 journal my Dad gave me to read, and then The Dogs of War or something.  Maybe.

Ah who am I kidding.  I'm going to spend the night playing Minecraft, watching stand-up comedy reruns, and maybe "read" some Homestuck fanfics.  Bullshit.

It's too bad actuilly, except for the whole kidnapping his wife thing Hades is likely the ONLY greek god who could be called a nice guy. Unlike Zues who cursed a woman into haveing a child with a bull becouse she wouldn't sleep with him. Or Hera who was a psycho bitch, it put it nicely.

It is really annoying how little books pay attention to the original myths though... they aren't telling greek myths, they are just stealing the characters. If you are going to make a plot based around greek myth, MAKE IT ABOUT GREEK MYTH. Don't make your own plot then use well-known characters to sell it.

Hmm... I don't think Athena did anything too horrible. Though she was still very petty sometimes.

It is really annoying how little books pay attention to the original myths though... they aren't telling greek myths, they are just stealing the characters.
